Executive Director

Mr. Rutaraka Joseph Okeesi is the Executive Director of Harvey World Travel Uganda (HWTU), headquartered at Kyengera Mall. He is a highly experienced public health researcher with a strong background in epidemiology and over eight years of expertise in research and development studies.

Beyond travel consultancy, Joseph is the Founder and Executive Director of Gentilezza Ripple Effect Foundation (GREF Uganda), a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering communities through health, education, and social support initiatives. His leadership extends internationally as he also sits on the Board of The Ripple Effect Initiative (TREI), based in Boston, USA.

At HWTU, Joseph oversees strategic direction, travel consultancy services, and international partnerships. He and his team specialize in:

  • Visa consultation & facilitation (tourism, business, student, and special category visas).
  • Air ticketing & reservations across global airlines.
  • Hotel bookings, airport transfers, and travel insurance.
  • Educational & cultural exchange travel programs.
  • Supporting international conferences, expos, and tourism promotions.
Joseph combines his passion for travel, research, and community development, making Harvey World Travel Uganda not only a leading travel consultancy but also a bridge for Ugandans to access global opportunities in tourism, education, and business.

Company Specialist

Muhumuza Arnold serves as the Company Specialist at Harvey World Travel Uganda (HWTU), where he oversees networking, online consultation planning, and client engagement strategies.

With a strong background in public health and HIV research, Alnord has worked closely with Gentilezza Ripple Effect Foundation (GREF Uganda) and partnered on major research programs under CDC/PEPFAR. His expertise includes data analysis and project management, and he has contributed to impactful collaborations with organizations such as Freedom House.

At HWTU, Alnord is responsible for:

  • Coordinating online consultations with clients across Uganda and internationally.
  • Developing and managing digital networking platforms for travel and visa services.
  • Ensuring smooth technical and data-driven support for client applications.
  • Linking research, consultancy, and travel services to strengthen HWTU’s global reputation.
His combined experience in research, data systems, and international program management makes him a vital link between Harvey World Travel Uganda’s travel consultancy work and its development-driven mission.

Company Lawyer & Quality Control Manager

Peace Mirembe Doreen is the Company Lawyer and Quality Control Manager at Harvey World Travel Uganda (HWTU). She plays a dual role of ensuring that the company’s operations remain legally compliant while maintaining the highest standards of quality in all client services.

With a legal background and extensive experience in corporate compliance, Peace represents HWTU in all legal matters and safeguards the organization’s interests. She also leads the quality assurance team, ensuring that every visa application, travel document, and client request is prepared, reviewed, and submitted accurately and on time.

At HWTU, her responsibilities include:

  • Providing legal guidance and representation for the company.
  • Overseeing compliance with travel and immigration regulations.
  • Supervising application processes to guarantee efficiency and accuracy.
  • Maintaining quality control systems to enhance client trust and satisfaction.

Head of Data Department

Muhumuza Peter serves as the Head of the Data Department at Harvey World Travel Uganda (HWTU). With strong expertise in data analysis and performance monitoring, he ensures that the company stays up to date with the latest trends, updates, and changes in the global travel industry.

Peter’s role is central to evidence-based decision making at HWTU. He specializes in data sorting, performance analysis, and reporting, providing the leadership team with clear insights into company progress and areas for improvement. His work supports strategic planning and helps align HWTU’s services with both client needs and international travel standards.

At HWTU, his key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the data analysis and reporting unit.
  • Monitoring company performance across all countries of operation.
  • Tracking and updating industry changes, visa policies, and travel regulations.
  • Producing performance reports to guide company strategy and client services.

Consultant & Head of Scholarship Department

Dr. Solomone Mwije is a Consultant with Harvey World Travel Uganda (HWTU) and serves as the Head of the Scholarship Department, with a special focus on supporting students pursuing PhD and advanced academic opportunities abroad.

Alongside his role at HWTU, Dr. Mwije is a part-time Lecturer at Uganda Christian University (UCU) in the Faculty of Social Sciences, where he trains and mentors the next generation of scholars and professionals. His dual experience in academia and international education consultancy makes him an invaluable resource for students seeking scholarships, higher education placements, and research collaborations.

At HWTU, Dr. Mwije is responsible for:

  • Overseeing the scholarship and academic placement programs.
  • Supporting PhD, Masters, and advanced-level students with application guidance.
  • Offering consultancy on international education opportunities.
  • Bridging academic institutions and travel services for seamless student mobility.
With his strong academic background and passion for education, Dr. Mwije helps ensure that Ugandan students and scholars gain access to global opportunities through HWTU’s scholarship department.

Scholarship Officer

Kyakuwa Joseph is a trained Engineer by profession who currently serves as a Scholarship Officer at Harvey World Travel Uganda (HWTU). Drawing from his technical background, he provides specialized support to both undergraduate and postgraduate students seeking opportunities abroad.

At HWTU, Joseph plays a critical role in facilitating access to higher education in Western institutions, where he guides students through the complex processes of school admissions, student loan applications, and scholarship placements. His practical and structured approach ensures that clients are well-prepared to meet the requirements of international universities.

His key responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical guidance and counseling to students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Assisting students in securing educational loans and financial aid packages.
  • Facilitating school admissions and placement in leading institutions across Europe and North America.
  • Supporting HWTU’s mission to create academic mobility opportunities for Ugandan and African students.

Finance Manager

Komugisha Grace is the Finance Manager at Harvey World Travel Uganda (HWTU). She oversees all aspects of the company’s financial management and accountability, ensuring that resources are effectively planned, utilized, and reported.

With her strong background in finance and organizational management, Grace plays a key role in maintaining financial integrity and transparency at HWTU. She ensures compliance with financial regulations, budgeting procedures, and auditing standards, which helps the company sustain its operations and expand its services globally.

At HWTU, her core responsibilities include:

  • Managing company finances, budgets, and expenditure controls.
  • Overseeing financial reporting and accountability systems.

Public Relations Officer

Mugisha Achilles serves as the Public Relations Officer (PRO) at Harvey World Travel Uganda (HWTU). He is the company’s front-line communicator, responsible for building strong public, media, and client relations while promoting the company’s image locally and internationally.

In addition to his PR expertise, Achilles is also a pastor and professional Master of Ceremonies (MC), frequently leading corporate functions, conferences, and high-profile events. His background in public speaking, community engagement, and event hosting allows him to represent HWTU with confidence and professionalism.

At HWTU, his responsibilities include:

  • Managing public and client relations to strengthen the company’s reputation.
  • Serving as MC and corporate host at HWTU functions and partner events.
  • Promoting HWTU’s brand visibility through media and community engagement.
  • Supporting the Executive Director and management team in official representations.

Social Media & Photography Officer

Kevin Taboswa is the Social Media and Photography Officer at Harvey World Travel Uganda (HWTU). He manages the company’s online presence and digital branding, ensuring that HWTU’s services, success stories, and client experiences are shared with a wide audience.

Kevin is also an experienced photographer, responsible for capturing and curating visual content that promotes HWTU’s work in travel consultancy, scholarships, and international networking. His creative skills ensure that the company maintains a modern and engaging image across all digital platforms.

At HWTU, his key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and updating the company’s social media channels.
  • Creating engaging online campaigns to promote travel, visa, and scholarship services.
  • Offering professional photography and visual storytelling for company events and client journeys.
  • Supporting the PR and marketing team with digital content and media coverage.
